Summer in the desert has finally arrived and it is getting uncomfortably hot to be working outside,
except in the earliest hours of the morning. So when the tomatoes stop producing,
that's my signal it's time to go inside and get some indoor farm work done.
I am working my way through the house from room to room, cleaning out cupboards,
giving away things we do not need and organizing the things we do.
In the midst of this, the little man caught an awful stomach bug that brought everything
to a halt for three days and from this I made lemonade. :)
I've been wanting to do a gallery wall in our family room but knew the time it
would take to look right. Well, after the second day of being Florence Nightingale,
(I am a great nurse for the first day of illness, but days of sickness wear me thin)
I became a little stir crazy and took everything off the walls,
then started laying out the placement of the wall on the dining room table.
So when my husband came home, he asked what I did that day. I laughed
and said I cleaned up vomit and did this...
That's right...this took all day!
This Saturday from 8-noon is the last Singh Farm market of the season,
they will re-open after Labor Day.
We will be there from 8-10am with our jams,
jellies, salsas and duck eggs.
This is your chance to stock up till fall!
It has been a good and busy season for us at the farm:
Lots of fun events, classes and a bountiful fruit harvest.
But we are looking forward to the break, time to relax and reflect,
spending time with the kiddos doing puzzles and reading thru the Hobbit-
it's our family's summer tradition,
and I start planning the fall garden.
Sigh...
*Summer Bliss*
We have a bunch of indoor farm projects to work on and I'll
be doing a post on the canning pantry soon.
