Boho Farm is an urban farm and historic creative gathering place in Downtown Phoenix

Boho Farm + Home is a collection of experiences designed to help people gather, celebrate, create, and slow down.

Boho Farm is a private event space and working urban farm centered around a lovingly restored 1903 Victorian bungalow. We host intimate weddings, private events, seasonal workshops, more that inspire a more beautiful, connected way of living.

The Carriage House is our on-site rental property, designed to have all the modern conveniences and creature comforts, but with the charming 1903 period details of the original.

Home to Caroline Van Slyke's Fine + Folk design studio and soon, Tharaldson House—a private social club—Boho Farm + Home continues to grow as a place where creativity, hospitality, and community flourish.

The story behind Boho Farm

“One day, while at a meeting in downtown Phoenix, I looked out the window and saw a forlorn, abandoned house on a dirt lot. The 1903 bungalow. It needed some love... It was like the house was speaking to me, telling me to adopt it. I know it sounds crazy.

At the time, I had already spent years restoring and stewarding a 1951 ranch house on a large lot 40 blocks away, where I hosted events and classes around a thriving garden. As life shifted and seasons changed, I started asking myself—am I going to do something different while I still have the energy?

I dreamed of creating a place where people could gather around food, community, and civic action. So within days, I was talking to a developer about purchasing the property and got to work transforming it into a space where people could connect, celebrate, create memories, and experience abundance.

Rotted floorboards and fire-damaged walls gave way to restored hardware and the original fireplace. The once barren dirt lot became an orchard and vegetable garden. The house nobody wanted became a haven for others—with regulars gathered around a wood-burning pizza oven, glasses of wine in hand, and music in the air.

I built Boho Farm to inspire others to live out their dream—whether for an evening or for a lifetime. I hope you join us for a farm-to-table experience or a weekend away. Come be inspired by beauty and abundance.”

Hi, I’m Caroline

I'm an interior designer, founder of Boho Farm, and proprietor of The Carriage House. For more than twenty years I've been creating spaces that blend beauty with function—places that invite people to slow down, gather together, and enjoy the richness of everyday life.

Boho Farm is the fullest expression of that philosophy. What began as an abandoned property has become a place where people come together around food, conversation, creativity, and meaningful experiences.
